Muzium Kesenian Islam (Islamic Art Museum) Malaysia

The first room I is a room with full of glorious Islamic mosques built in the era of Islamic kingdoms that can be visited and still preserved around the world. They are: Syeikh Sayed Grand Mosque (Abu Dhabi) built with Italian, Germany, Austrian, Turkish, Iranian, and Chinese construction’s materials, Dome of Rock Mosque (Jerusalem), The Great Umayya Mosque (Damascus), Ibnu Tulun Mosque (Egypt), Kalyan Mosque (Bukhara), Bibi Khanum Mosque (Uzbekiztan), The Court of the Lion Mosque (Spain), Khudja Ahmad Yasawi Mosque (Kazakhstan), Gur’imir Complex Mosque (Samarkhan), Nabawi Mosque (Medina), Western Great Mosque (China), Taj Mahal (India), Badhasahi Mosque (China), Djenne Mosque (Mali), Selemiye Mosque (Turkey), Qubba Mosque (Medina), Imam Al-Bukhari Mosque (Bukhara) and some beautiful mosque architecture miniatures  from southeast Asia.

In that exhibition room, you we find a Mihrab, Islamic room for praying to Allah, human and all creatures God. That small room decorated with Islamic golden era art ornaments which were made from gold, diamond, and etc. Architecture art of Islamic palace construction, Mihrab beautiful ornaments reflected the glory, welfare, political power of powerful Islamic kingdoms such as Nabi Muhammad kingdom, Umayyah, Abbasyiah, Second Umayyah, Fathimiyyah, Ayyubiah, Sulaimaniyah dynasty and many more which were in their golden ages becoming the world powerful kingdoms and powers which fought for the interests of Islamic people who were oppressed by alien colonialism powers.

Then, when you come in Islamic calligraphy collection room. In this room, there is Al-Qur’an Mushaf, which written with hand and adorned with Islamic graphic art (Khat) such as Naskhi, Diwani and Tsulust, displayed. Al-Qur’an put nobly and described about when they were written by calligraphers and were exactly published by Kingdom’s publication agencies.

Besides the collection of Al-Qur’ans, they are materials and tools used to observe and conduct the research about the science of universe especially in early Astronomy and medication knowledge, literatures, visual art expertized by Islamic scholars and scientists around the globe. The tools and equipment can still be used and functioned until now and can obviously explain to visitors that Western and Asian scientists who invented big inventions do not surprise people because they enjoyed and continued basics useful knowledge invented by Islamic scholars and scientists in the early age. Islamic famous scientists such as Ibnu Sina, Al-Khawarizmi and enormity of their findings, references and works are now usually unregistered in the field of science by today scientists.

In addition, the next room is the collection of swords, guns, shields, war dress equipment made from iron, bows and arrows were also displayed. The warfare equipment and tools used for self-defend from arbitrarily power, to attack other kingdoms by forces which recklessly made trouble in the country, offended the sovereignty, ruined and caused the dignity of the nation decreased. The majority of the equipment was from Ottoman kingdom in Turkey which aimed to protect other Islamic nations from alien colonialists’ oppressors and controls who ruined the peaceful lives of Islamic people around the world. The kingdom was a lion which eradicated colonialism domination which made policies without compunction in Islamic countries and territories.

Moreover, we were surprised when looking at the collection of Acehnese golden coins also fully equipped with war equipment which proved that Acehnese kingdom once was a protector of other kingdoms in Malay Peninsula and Sumatra Island from Portuguese, British, Japanese, and Holland’s occupation and colonialism.

Those are incredibly awesome rooms to visit and dig in. If you have opportunity to explore Malaysia, this museum is highly recommended for you. Not only do you get great views to see but also get a extremely meaningful knowledge spending your time digging in this iconic site.

He emotionally presented an Acehnese language song entitled “Gasèh Sayang Prang” literally means “Loving while in the Warfare”.  He wrote this song when struggling for an absolute Acehnese independence after being colonized for almost 5 decades by Javanese colonialism. He successfully depicted his emotions and feelings of being far away from his sweetheart while surviving in the battlefield in between death or life.            Gasèh Sayang Prang Han padok mata ka deüngon awan (The eyes are never blocked by the cloud) Di mata intan, gata dèüh sabéë (In my eyes, Oh sweetheart, you are always visible) Nan tèüh mèüsalôp lam jiwa badan (Your name is covered over my soul) Mèünan kèüh yum ban, gata di hatè (That is your excellence in my heart) Gata mèukéë sang-sang bulèuën trang (You are carved like the m
